Nathaniel White was a serial killer from Goshen, NY. While on parole, he murdered six women with substantially graphic detail. Two of the bodies were found in this house, and one was found nearby. He is currently still in prison, serving a 150yr-life sentence. His case had been used in Governor Pataki's push to reinstate the death penalty in New York State. His farmhouse remains partially intact, being slowly deteriorated by the elements.
Why do we explore? My personal reason is to find the ruins of a better, simpler time. Ruins tell stories that people never could. Walls, halls, and doorways speak volumes of their pasts. By covering these grounds and finding these ruins, I am allowing them to tell me their tales; By photographing them I preserve them forever, like books. The purpose is simple: To take a step into history, and go where few dare to go anymore in search of the memories and knowledge of a better time.
